Nollie Jenkins Family Center is honored to share that three youth organizers were chosen for the 2014 Sargent Shriver Youth Warriors Against Poverty Leadership Award. Congratulations to Randarious Cooper, Curtis Hill, and Anfernee Horton. These three individuals have been working to address domestic poverty through community service and organizing. They were among many other youth across the United States who participated in the award ceremony held in Seattle, WA – August 9-11, 2014 through a grant provided by the Marquerite Casey Foundation and invited to also attend the national convening in Atlanta, GA – September 21-23, 2014.
This award lifts up the work of youth activists for their active and continual efforts as leaders to build a nationwide movement across issues, race and regions, on behalf of all of America’s families.
